All About Bill

Throughout my career in Local Government and the Trade Union movement I always cooked and baked. When the possibility of redundancy reared its head I decided that it was time to make use of my love of food.

I trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland where baking was a core element of the curriculum. We baked every day and a, randomly selected, bread was part of the final practical exam.

On leaving Ballymaloe and Local Government I decided to set up as a micro baker, working from home.

My small kitchen is usually filled with the aroma of baking bread and a significant part of the conservatory is filled with bins of flour!

The conservatory also allows me to share my love of real bread by teaching small courses in bread making.
